Governors

The Governing Board is part of the Leadership and Management team at York Road. It has three core functions; planning the strategic direction of the school, overseeing its financial performance and making sure money is being well spent, and holding the head and senior leadership to account. The Governing Board does not run the school on a day to day basis, that is the job of the Head teacher and their team.

The Full Governing Board meets at least three times per year, once per term. At York Road we also have a sub-committees, who is responsible for Finances and Resources and the other Curriculum and Standards. They also meet at least once per term.
